The Secret to Escaping the System

The Secret to Escaping the System

Statistics show only one person in two billion will live to be 116 or older. Many of us take life for granted, and we never consider how short life really is. We wake up in the morning, go to work, come back home after work, have some dinner, chill out and jump into bed. The process repeats itself an infinite number of times until we reach the age of retirement.

By that time though, half of our life is already gone, most probably spent at a job that we didn’t even like, doing things we couldn’t care less about. Are you trapped in the system? I guess you’re lucky today. because you just stumbled on the secret to escaping…

Step 1: Realize That There is a System

The system runs something like this:

You get born. The world celebrates your birth. Once you’re old enough, you enter school. You get taught many things, most of which you will never use. Some of which you’ll use but you won’t remember. After that, you go to college or university. The purpose of which is to prepare you for a job. A job that you will mostly keep on doing until the day you retire, when most of your life has passed. The job keeps you so busy, that there’s hardly time for anything else.

Step 2: Know Why You Want To Get Out

Not everyone has a problem with this though. Some people love their jobs. They’re passionate about what they do. And they couldn’t even begin to imagine doing anything else.

For others, they’re don’t really like their job, but they’ve never thought for a second about why they’re doing it.

Do you hate your job? Do you feel that your talents could be better spent elsewhere? Do you find that you just wander from day to day, in an endless repeated cycle with no meaning?

If that’s you, then perhaps it’s time to get out…

Step 3: Identify Your Passions, Dreams and Goals

Having goals and dreams is something so important. If you don’t have any yet, you really should start making some. Otherwise, when you get out of the system, you’ll just be wandering around meaninglessly again with nothing much to do.

Most people have never thought about their dreams or goals before. What are you passionate about?

Everyone has a passion. It’s something that you can do from morning till night without even realizing that the time has passed because you are just so absorbed in it. If you don’t have one yet, it’s just that you haven’t discovered it. You can begin searching now…

Step 4: Planning to Get Out of the System

It’s time to start planning for your escape from the system. This part is a bit more difficult. Quitting the job that you dislike so much in order to pursue your dreams and passions.

You’ll need some way to support yourself. Money is a major issue. Well actually, it’s probably the main issue.

Instead of earning money from working a job you totally despise, why not make money doing something you love instead? In today’s world, one can make money doing almost anything in the world. So money is no excuse for not pursuing your passion.

Do some research. There are many ways you can build a sustainable income around your passion. From creating a business around it, to selling your own work, to teaching others how to do something you’re good at, to just talking and writing about it. Find the method that suits you best.

Step 5: Problems With Time and Money

One of the main concerns with pursuing personal dreams is that there’s not enough time or money. After all, you’re working a full-time job. Where’ll you find the time to start moving in a totally new direction?

You don’t need a lot of time or money to chase your dreams. Start small. Just 30 minutes a day is enough to get you in the direction of your goals. The most important thing is to just start. To get moving. Nothing changes until you begin.

30 minutes a day over several months adds up very quickly and you will start to see enormous results. Also, it will help you to gain momentum. Just like a small snowball that starts a tiny roll down the top of the hill until it becomes a gigantic ball of snowmosity that can never be stopped.

I’m sure you can spare just 30 minutes a day, right?

Conclusion

It sounds simple, and it is. Escaping the system isn’t as complicated as you think. But it does take some effort and determination though. Find out what you really want to do, and then spend just 30 minutes a day moving in that direction. You’ll reach your goals sooner than you think…
