What your Daydreams say about you

How often have you dreamed a daydream and longed so deeply for it to be your reality? How often have you heard yourself or someone else discourage a daydream? How many times have you heard that you should keep your head out of the clouds and focus on the task at hand? If the task at hand is so important then why can’t you stay focused on it? Your daydreams are who you dream you could be. Your daydreams are what you dream you could be doing. Your daydreams are communicating an unconscious desire for something more, something better. Why is it that we let them slip away and call them fantasies or call them idealistic? Who told you that you should be doing what you are doing right now? Was it you? There is more to life than the task at hand.

When you dream a daydream it is your heart speaking through your imagination in your mind. Why is it that you do not listen to it? What is so unrealistic about it? What keeps you from giving up the security of the grind and seeking it? Why don’t you try? What is the worst that can happen? Will it kill you if you take a chance? What is there to lose? Will you be a slave forever to what others think you should be doing?

Your daydreams are speaking your purpose to you. When you can remove the silliness of selfishness from your daydreams and see the truth in them then you can seek your happiness. We have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Go for it.

The worst that can happen is that you will have an adventure and become who you truly desire to be. You can’t expect to change over-night. You can’t expect to grow all the skills you need over-night. It is hard work. There is a chance of losing everything that you have worked for. What is it that you have that you will not risk losing? Is it really worth it? Are you really happy? If you are not truly happy and find yourself daydreaming and wishing for something more and knowing that you are destined for something greater then you should go get it.

If you are living a life attached to people, places, and things that are not making you happy then why are you afraid to lose these things? Is there really some great security in having these things? Why? Do they make the difference that you need in the dreams that you dream? Will these others laugh if you stumble? Maybe they will laugh at you. Maybe they will try to discourage you everywhere you turn. I will not do that. I think everyone should live their dreams.

There is plenty of food, shelter, and safety. There are plenty of people to love and to be loved by. Find those people. The people that try to crush your dreams and keep you in their “safe” little world are holding you back. Let go and push through the barriers of fear and failure. Learn who you really are. Become the great you that you see in your daydreams.

You can do it if you are will not give up. Do not give up. Reach inside yourself for strength when you cannot find it elsewhere. You will always find it. Believe in yourself. Pain leads to growth. Living things grow. You are a living thing. It is time to live your life. Live your dreams instead of daydreaming. You will find that, even in the face of failure, that you finally feel alive. This feeling will carry you to the achievement of your dreams.
