Explanation of the Big Bang

The “Big Bang” theory has been widely accepted for many years. What I would like to know is, why? Why do people so strongly hold to this theory even though there has been no evidence that verifies it as fact, and it contradicts many scientific laws.

The Big Bang theory is presented as such:
“Somewhere between 18 and 20 billion years ago, all of the matter in the universe was compressed into a tiny space no larger than the dot on a page. This dot spun faster and faster until it exploded, thus creating the Universe and everything in it.” This really makes no sense at all. According to the First law of Thermodynamics, “matter can not be created or destroyed”. So where did all of this matter come from? Also, how was disorder and chaos brought into order. The Big Bang theory contradicts the Second law of Thermodynamics which states that “Everything tends towards disorder”.

Another law that the Big Bang theory contradicts is the Conservation of angular momentum. According to this law, if the spinning dot exploded, all of the fragments of that dot should be spinning in the same direction that the dot was spinning. Therefore, all of the planets and moons and such should all be spinning in the same direction, which they are not. Venus, Uranus, and many other moons spin in the opposite direction of the other planets. How then, do many people believe that the Big Bang theory could be true?

I believe that the only reason many people hold to the Big Bang theory is because the only other choice is believing that God created the universes and all that is in it. To believe that God exists means that people have to take responsibility for their actions. Evolution is not science. It is a faith, a religion, just like Christianity only the creationist view of the Christian does not contradict the laws of science. It’s foundation is built upon the laws of science.
