This article is about the coldest places on the planet called Earth. I am going to name the top five coldest places on Earth. At the end of the article there will be honorable mentioned for the coldest places on the planet Earth.

To start it off the coldest place on Earth is Vostok station, Antarctica. Vostok, Antarctica has set the record for the coldest temperature ever recorded on Earth. The record was set in 1997. The temperature in Vostok, Antarctica was -91 °C. Even though this was the coldest temperature ever, it was not confirmed.  Although the Vostok, Antarctica area still has the record, but the temperature was only -89 °C (That is very, very, very cold).

 Another cold place on the Earth is Oimekon, Russia. The second coldest temperature on Earth was -68 °C. This was recorded in 1933.

The third coldest place on Earth is in Verkhoyansk, Russia. The country called Russia has one of the coldest climate on the Earth. In Verkhoyansk, Russia, the third coldest climate to be recorded was -68 °C.

The fourth coldest place on the Earth is called Northice. Northice is located in Greenland. The highest temperature in Greenland was Northice’s. The temperature of Northice was   –66 °C. This temperature was recorded in 1954.

The fifth coldest place on Earth is Snag, Yukon, Canada. The temperature that was recorded there read –63 °C.

These are the top five coldest places on the face of the Earth. Just to give you some of the honorable mentions for the coldest place on Earth. Prospect Creek, Alaska was recorded as –62 °C. This temperature was recorded in 1971. Another honorable mentioned place is Rogers Pass, Mont. They had a recorded temperature at –56.5 °C. This temperature was recorded in 1954. I will tell you two more honorable mentioned places on the Earth for the coldest place ever recorded. The next honorable mentioned is Ust ‘Shchugor, Russia. The temperature recorded there was –55 °C. This temperature was recorded in January. The last honorable mentioned place on the Earth is Sarmiento, Argentina. The temperature that was recorded there was –33 °C. This was recorded in 1907.
