Is Psychology really Scientific

Many people often ask the question is Psychology considered a real science. Neuropsychology is very important to the study of the human brain and exploring why people act and react the way he or she will in various situations.

The answer to that question is obvious to those who are interested in the brain, and its capacity in which it controls every aspect of human life. Therefore, experiments are conducted, data is collected hence Psychology is a real and important social science. A science that is always evolving, as humans understand different cultures, religions, use medications and an entire array of behaviors humans do and change as time passes (Wicken, 2005).

Neurosciences are at the forefront for medical doctors especially neurologists to understand how to help individuals with mental disorders, and those who have experienced brain injuries.

Psychology is the study of human behavior, to gain understanding of a person, group, or animal to understand his or her mental state, illnesses, or other subtle changes of behavior. The science of psychology today imitates the order and control of the long and varied history. The birth of psychology differs drastically from today’s study of psychology.

To fully understanding everything regarding to psychology, a person could spend years learning the different aspects of psychology its present, history, and origins it is possible onecould never learn everything in relation to psychology.

Neuropsychology is a division of psychology that helps science understand the function and structure of the brain (Pinel, 2009). How the brain relates to details for the psychological process. The scientific approach shares the information processing in the view of the mind with cognitive psychology and cognitive science.

The more diverse the psychological disciplines that overlap with these areas for instance are neuroscience, particularly philosophy of mind, neurology, computer science, and psychiatry. Neuropsychologists are most likely to work in academia in a clinical setting in assessing or treating patients with neuropsychological problems. Oddly, Neuropsychologists tend to spend time in court as expert witnesses or in management positions for pharmaceutical clinical research for potential new drugs to find out what type of effect a new drug will have on the brain.

Many men and women from the past and present are and have been inthe development of Psychology as a science. The study continues to intrigue those involved in the field of Psychology, Neurosciences, Human Biology, as well as Philosophers alike. From the beginning of the study of human and animal behavior scientists have observed, how biology affects human interaction, believing once the studies combined, and understood many questions of mental illnesses. Personalities and many other disorders of the human brain are curable.
