Human more Similar than different

Humans more alike than Different

The Human Genome Project has proven people are more alike than different so how can we express racial identity.  Humans need to reflect human identity.

Percentages

Humans are 99 percent the same. The differences in human fall within this small area made of the 1 percent. How can you judge differences within 1 percent? It seems futile.  When you examine all the mutations that must remain within the 1 percent, all differences must remain awfully small. The mutations that created the races of the human populations, humans give a lot of importance. Where is the real difference? What is the difference between animals and humans?

The difference between humans and other animals is 5 percent.  It is five times as much as human difference, but all living animals have similarities.  It shows a plan of nature. It fits within evolution and intelligent design.  Either one such as God designed the planet using his plan or evolution built from ground up until man was placed on top as stewards of the planet. How can man not care for the planet since he has such a connection to all living organism.

Ramifications

Yes, we can identify the parents of a child and whether or not the person belonged with a certain population, but humans look basically the same everywhere we go. We can have a wide variety of variations with in our community, but changes can be more culturally generated than genetic. When we examine the diets of various people and the environment within the population, these factors probably explains the characteristics of the population rather than genetics.

Future

As humans travel more around the world the differences may change even more, In contrast maybe we should consider when another mutation will occur that causes a new race. Will we even notice if a new race occurred because humans have expanded within the 1 percent that the change could look similar to multi-race individuals.

Maybe as we look through each human’s DNA we will be able to sort through the travel of the human race. As we examine the human genome and the mutations and where the mutation occurred we can map some of the activity of humans around the planet. The mummies of China proved that prior to the time period when China closed it border that humans traveled to China possibly for trading.  Did this time period leave China with some genes that reflect the rest of the world so maybe mixing genes will minimize rather than make more differences?

The study of human genetics will offer more human history than we thought in the past and maybe promote human harmony since we are more a like than different. Humans as stewards of the earth should unite together to care for the rest of the world that is not much different from us either but considerably more different than the differences of humans
