To find dinosaurs in Connecticut you must begin at the Dinosaur State Park. Beneath their geodesic dome, you will find a display of early Jurassic fossil tracks that were made 200 million years ago. Dinosaur State park opened in 1968. 2,000 dinosaur’s tracks were accidentally found during excavation for anew-state building. Five hundred tracks are preserved within the Exhibit’s Center geodesic dome. The park’s 200 million year old track way is now a Registered Natural Landmark. Dinosaur State Park is located one mile east of Exit 23 on Interstate Highway 91. Just a few miles south of Hartford, Connecticut.
