Conservation

In regard to our environment and the climate, our World constantly changes. The effects of global warming have made that fact as clear as ever for the billion of people who are alive on Earth.

It is also true that the more living things that require fresh drinking water, the more fresh drinking water is required to sustain all of those living things. As a result, many so called modern societies have contributed to the pollution of many of their sources of fresh drinking water. The end result being, thousands of people died or currently suffer from some type of cancer and thousands more other from of wildlife have reached the point of extinction.

If Mankind is to remain healthy and alive it is important for each person on our Earth to practice a “Green Friendly” way of life. In so doing each of us must use and/or consume far less of the available fresh drinking water that exists within our environment.

There are places on our Earth where prolonged drought conditions exist as only time will tell if what we believe to be normal climatic conditions will ever occur within those now very dry places.

The truth of the matter is that there is no instant fix for the polluted water conditions that now exist within those modern societies. Nor is there a quick fix for restoring the average annual rainfall to those drought stricken places on our Earth.

Those plants, animals and people who do not die from the lack of fresh drinking water might have to move to a more life giving place if fresh drinking water cannot be provided to those living things. The loss of life far exceeds the cost to provide what is essential for all living things.

Usable and safe water is required to grow all of the foods that animals and people require in order to stay healthy and alive. That is, until we consume those animals and plants that we most desire.

Like it or not, in order to wisely use that life giving water each of us must reduce the amount of water that we use for personal hygiene. That means taking fewer showers and/or fewer baths. We must also preserve the purity of our fresh water by not putting toxic chemicals into the lakes, rivers and streams within our communities. So too, we must reduce the amount of pollution this spewed into the atmosphere by manufacturing and/or power production facilities.

Then again, is might be necessary to build those facilities that can convert sea water into fresh water in places where there is a shortage of fresh drinking water. The point being is that the cost to provide for the needs of a growing population will most certainly increase. Sooner or later all of us will pay for the needless waste of that life giving resource.
