Step 1

Drink water. Keeping the skin hydrated will help keep collagen fibers from breaking down, causing further loss of skin elasticity. When collagen breaks down, the skin does not retain its youthful, smooth look and wrinkles set in. Water consumption will reverse this breakdown and help the skin regain a plumper appearance. Drink eight to 10 glasses of water daily.

Step 2

Eat fruits and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables contain antioxidants that are responsible for fighting the effects of free radicals caused by environmental toxins. They keep the skin clear and healthy, while smoothing out wrinkles that result from premature aging.

Step 3

Apply vitamin E oil to the skin. Smooth on daily after cleansing. Vitamin E is needed to keep skin moisturized and aid in new collagen formation that will fill in creases and lines. If using vitamin E capsules, after applying the oil from the pierced capsule, swallow the rest of the capsule to help you heal from the inside out.

Step 4

Stay out of the sun. Avoid excessive sun exposure, as ultraviolet rays worsen wrinkles and fine lines and cause new ones to appear. If you must go outside in the sun for an extended amount of time, then wear a hat, sunscreen and clothing that covers the skin.
