Overview
The Bowflex Treadclimber is a type of cardio exercise machine made available through the gym equipment manufacturer. Features of the Treadclimber include speed controls, resistance controls, display console, compact size and portability. To work out, you step on the foot treadles at the speed and resistance with which you are most comfortable. If your Treadclimber does not operate correctly, you can perform some troubleshooting at home before calling the manufacturer. For additional troubleshooting techniques, you can refer to your product manual.
Step 1
Check the outlet that the Treadclimber is plugged into. If you are not getting power, try plugging the machine into a different outlet. Check the household fuses and reset the circuit breaker if necessary. Make sure the safety key is in place for the device to power on.
Step 2
Calibrate the Treadclimber. If the display is showing the incorrect speed, you may need to calibrate the machine. To calibrate, turn the machine on and stand on the side supports. Insert the safety key and press the speed and arrow down button keys simultaneously. After “Pass” is displayed on the screen, the calibration has been completed.
Step 3
Move the Treadclimber to a new location. If the exercise machine is within six feet of a television, microwave, computer or radio, the heart rate readings may not display correctly.
Step 4
Examine all bolts on the Bowflex Treadclimber. If you hear any knocking or if the treadles feel loose, tighten all the bolts on the machine with an Allen wrench.
Step 5
Tighten the belt of the Treadclimber. If you experience any slipping while using the piece of fitness equipment, unplug the power and take off the plastic cover on the base of the machine. Use an Allen wrench to tighten the belt. Make ¼ turns until the slippage is no longer an issue and tension has been restored. Replace the cover.
