Skin Care Tips

I bet many of you women out there wonder how you can get better skin without spending a fortune on beauty products that promise all these great results, but really don’t deliver what they promise!

So here are my steps to healthy glowing skin …

Step 1
Drink plenty of water- 8 to 10 8 oz glasses of water per day or more depending upon your weight! I wouldn’t suggest drinking more than 16 8 oz glasses of water per day.

Step 2
If you smoke its best to stop smoking, as the chemicals in cigarettes make your skin look aged.

Step 3
Get into a great routine of cleansing, exfoliating, toning, and moisturizing the skin with products that are geared toward your skin type (i.e. Dry skin would want a moisturizing cleaners, and a heavy moisturizer)!

Step 4
Use Sun Screen each and EVERY day, at least 15 spf, if you are fair, I would say use something higher SPF wise!

Step 5
Eat plenty of fresh fruits and veggies, at least 3 to 5 servings per day, and eat lean red meats if you eat meats, try to cut out the sweets, coffee, soda, or tea, and fat.

Step 6
Get plenty of rest, at least 8 hours a night! As this is important, as your skin will look dull and that is not the look you are going for! Plus you don’t want bags under your eyes! This makes us women look older and tired!

Step 7
Try to not use makeup constantly, or use foundation that is light weight, try not to use Liquid foundation as it is very heavy. If you haven’t already gotten on the Mineral Foundation kick then give it a try, its light weight and feels great, and it’s great for your skin!

Step 8
Wear sunglasses whenever possible while outside, because the skin around your eyes is very sensitive to the suns UV rays, if possible use a higher SPF sunscreen around your eyes, as this will help keep your skin from getting burnt as well as prematurely aging!

Step 9
Cut back on your alcohol intake if you drink as this does not help make your skin any healthier! So if you drink more often then not then this might be one of the reasons your skin is not looking as healthy as it could! Try going a week without any alcohol, I bet you’ll see a difference!

So those are my steps to getting healthier looking skin!

I know from personal experience that when I drink more water, my skin looks clearer than when I don’t drink water. So give these a try and see how it goes, if you follow these steps you will start to see clearer skin in just a few days!
